CSV or Excel tool
Split CSV
Break a CSV into smaller parts by a fixed number of rows per file, repeating the header row in every part so each file opens cleanly on its own.

Waiting for files
Accepted input
- CSV or TSV files
Limits
- Up to 20 MB per CSV/Excel file and up to 100000 rows.
- CSV, TSV, XLSX and JSON inputs are supported in this category.
Local processing
- Files are read in your browser and are never uploaded to a server.
- Nothing is stored after you close or reload the page.
How to use Split CSV
- Add the CSV file you want to split.
- Set the number of data rows per output file.
- Keep "Repeat header" on, then press Split CSV and download each part.
What it does
- Repeats the header row in every part by default.
- Names the parts predictably as name-part-1.csv, name-part-2.csv and so on.
- Processes line-break content inside quotes as one row, never as a split point.
Limits and things to know
- Splitting is by row count only; there is no split-by-column-value mode in this tool.
- Every part is generated at once, so the whole file must fit in browser memory.
Example
Splitting a mailing list for import limits
A 5000-row CSV cannot be imported in one go. Set 1000 rows per file, split, and download five files that each start with the same header row.
Frequently asked questions
Is the header included in every part?
Yes by default. Turn "Repeat header" off if each part should contain only data rows.
Does a quoted line break split the file?
No. The parser reads the whole quoted field, so a newline inside quotes stays inside its row.
How are the files named?
Based on the input name, for example data-part-1.csv, data-part-2.csv, in order.
Runs entirely in your browser on ap98.com. Files are never uploaded.
