How to use Merge PDF
- Add two or more PDF files with the drop zone or the file chooser.
- Use the up and down arrows to set the exact page order.
- Press Merge PDFs and download the single combined file.
What it does
- Keeps the page order you arrange, not the order you happened to add the files.
- Preserves each page at its original size, rotation and content.
- Reports the final page count so you can check the merge.
Limits and things to know
- Bookmarks, form fields and interactive elements from the source files are not carried across.
- Digital signatures become invalid because the page contents are rewritten.
- This tool merges files only; it does not compress or convert them.
Example
Joining a signed contract with two annexes
Add contract.pdf, annex-a.pdf and annex-b.pdf, move annex-b above annex-a if the annexes must read A then B, then merge. The result has the total page count of all three files, in that order.
Frequently asked questions
Does merging reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied without being re-encoded, so text stays sharp and images keep their original resolution.
Can I merge an encrypted PDF?
No. Password protected files are refused. Remove the password first, then merge the decrypted copy.
How many files can I merge?
Up to 20 files per batch, as long as the combined size stays within the total size limit.
